I'm not much of a nap taker, but I just woke up from a 2-hour snooze that was awesome! Damn, I love Saturdays!
The Reds battle the Scottish McCutchen brothers today. Daniel, who faced the Reds twice last season going 1-0 with a 2.92 ERA, was roughed up in his only start this year against the Diamondbacks. He went 3.1 innings and surrendered 9 ER. The way the Reds are hitting, I expect his ERA to be under 10.00 by the end of the day.
Joey Votto is back in the lineup this evening, but Scott Rolen is still out with whatever ailments it was finally decided that he had. Miguel Cairo gets the start and will bat 8th.
Johnny Cueto seems to like pitching in PNC Park where he is 3-1 with a 3.00 ERA in four starts. Look for him to put on a show tonight for the Red Reporter contingent that will be in attendance. I've love to see Johnny break off a 7+ inning start tonight. Just come out throwing strikes, Johnny. That's all we need!
