Is the pollen around here killing anybody else? I never have allergy problems, but I can't go outside without sneezing for the rest of the day. Guess I'll just stay in the basement and watch the baseball spreadsheets tonight.

Should be another exciting night of Reds pitching as the two top pitching prospects take the mound on the same day once again. Mike Leake will be making his second big league start in Pittsburgh around the same time Aroldis Chapman takes his act home to Louisville. Looking at the weather map, both games might see some rain tonight, which will hopefully help the pollen issue, but could wash out the game watching.

The Reds and the Pirates put up about the same amount of offense this season, both averaging 4.3 R/G so far. The Pirates' pitching staff however has an ERA of 7.38, while the Reds are a full 2 runs lower at 5.34. It would be nice if the Pirates staff is the cure for what has been ailing the Reds offense. Anything to jump start some run scoring would be a welcome sight.

The Reds have three more games until their second off day of the season. The taxed bullpen could use some rest, so Leake needs to give us 7 strong innings tonight. Now that I've mentioned it, expect him to be out of the game by the fifth.
