Micah Owings toes the rubber today. I'm not real sure where he is going to end up just yet, but I'd guess he'll be the long-man in the bullpen. The benefit of that is that it does give the Reds another pinch hitter on the bench, though I'm not sure of a situation that would be ideal to use a reliever to pinch hit, unless he just pitched 5 innings the day before.
We'll also see Nick Masset, Daniel Ray Herrera, and Mike Lincoln today. Meanwhile, Johnny Cueto will be getting the start in a minor league game.
Cherry Hudson Jr. is batting third for the Padres today. It'll be the first time he's faced the Reds since they traded him last July. I wonder what Chase Weems is up to.
Lineups are after the jump. WLW's got the audio or you can follow Gameday. The Padres are carrying the game on TV, so those with MLB.tv can watch it.
