Congratulations, Joey!

Or, in your mother tongue, Eh, come one, take off! MVP? Good work, have y'rself a two-four.

DATELINE, Internet - Joey Votto takes home the big one, just like I said he would in a hard-to-interpret chart. How does the hardware affect a potential arbitration case and/or the Reds contract extension offer?

Via BBWAA, which has the full voting results.

Of the 32 ballots submitted by two writers from each league city, Votto was listed first on 31 and second on the other to score 443 points, based on the tabulation system that rewards 14 points for first place, nine for second, eight for third and on down to one for 10th.

Scott Rolen appeared on 10 ballots, including as high as a 6th-place vote.

I assume there's going to be a presser at some point. Here's the take at Reds.com
