I almost forgot to post this. D'oh!
Some quick points as I'm in a rush to get out the door:
- Micah Owings has a 3.53 ERA in his last 6 starts, going just under 6 innings a start in that span.
- He was rocked in his last start against the Phillies back in May, going just 3 innings and allowing 5 runs.
- Jamie Moyer has a 3.83 ERA over his last 7 starts. He's gone at least 6 innings in 8 of his last 9 starts.
- The Reds beat him back on May 20th, but only managed 3 runs over 6 innings. Thankfully, Aaron Harang was on that night.
- Jay Bruce has the night off tonight with Chris Dickerson playing in right field in his stead. That's a good thing. Time to take it easy on Bruce and try to work him back into a successful rhythm. Maybe it will help to watch the game from another angle for a bit.
A win tonight splits the series. Not a great outcome, but not bad given the atrocities of Monday night.
