W-L ERA WHIP K BB
2009 - Chad Billingsley 9-5 3.76 1.28 119 55

Bronson Arroyo hasn't given up a run in 16 innings. (!xnij) There must be something about July for Arroyo. Over his career, he has his lowest WHIP (1.20) and second lowest ERA (3.78) for a month. Only September comes close in terms of success. Thank god it's still July!

Chad Billingsley gave up 6 runs in 1.2 innings pitched in his last start. In fact, Billingsley hasn't been all that impressive over his last 8 starts, posting a 5.74 ERA and walking 19 vs. 34 strike outs in 47 innings pitched. You know what seems to help pitchers in slumps though? Facing the Reds offense. Don't be surprised to see Billingsley pitch 8 shutout innings tonight.

Tonight is the last chance for the Reds to not get swept for the 4th straight season at Dodger Stadium. The streak stands at 11-straight losses right now. Maybe they'll win there again some time in our lifetimes.
