- Daryl Thompson got shelled as Louisville got rolled by Durham, 11-6. Jonny Gomes and Wes Bankston hit their 8th and 7th HRs of the season respectively, and Drew Sutton had two hits for the Bats, including a double. Thompson started the game for the Bats, and didn't pitch well, giving up 5 runs in 2 2/3 innings. Up next: Ramon Ramirez takes on Durham at 7:05.
- Carolina lost on a walk-off HR in the 9th, 4-3 to Birmingham. Juan Francisco hit his 6th HR of the season, and Sean Henry was 3-for-4 with 2 RBI. Chris Heisey had a hit to continue his season long on-base streak. Up next: James Avery takes on Birmingham at 8:05.
- Sarasota was rained out again. They'll play a doubleheader today with Jerry Gil going in Game 1 and Jeremy Horst pitching Game 2. First game starts at 5.
- Dayton lost too, 7-4 to West Michigan. Josh Ravin started for the Dragons and had control problems, walking 6 hitters in 4 innings, and gave up 5 R (3 ER). Dayton's 1-3 hitters were 0-11, but the 4-6 hitters were 6-12, with Carlos Mendez, Humberto Sosa, and Jose Gualdron each having two hits. Tony Brown was also 2-for-4.
