Farmers only and the Devin Double

Juan Francisco
Francisco

Triple-A: Bobby Livingston's Louisville debut didn't go quite as well as he hoped. He gave up 7 runs and 8 hits in the Bats' 8-3 loss. B.J. Szymanski hit his first Triple-A homer, and Josh Roenicke struck out 2 and allowed a hit in 2 innings. Not that he'll get it, but I think he's ready for the call-up.

High A: Juan Francisco was 2 for 4 with a double and a grand slam in Sarasota's 4-3 win. Francisco took the lead from Chris Valaika for RBIs (64) in the Reds' system. Zach Stewart continues to mince pro hitters, striking out 4 in 2 innings for his first save for the S-Reds.

Low A: Devin Mesoraco was 3 for 4 with 2 homers in Dayton's 8-4 win. Neftali Soto also homered, and Zach Cozart was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs. To top all that off, Jeremy Horst allowed just 1 hit and 1 walk in 5 shutout innings, striking out 6. His ERA's down to 2.70. Nice day for the Dragons.

Rookies: Michael Konstanty was 2 for 3 with the go-ahead RBI single as Billings won 2-1. He's batting .424 with a .537 OBP in his past 10 games. ... Humberto Sosa homered in Game 1, a 2-1 loss, and "Stat" Kuo was 2 for 3 in a 5-1 win for the G-Reds. ... The D-Reds lost 6-3.
