Remember last year when the Reds couldn't hit lefties but they could hit righties? Well, so far this year the opposite is true. The Reds are batting just .238/.310/.397 against right-handers this season. Even worse news is that they are batting just .225/.313/.366 against power pitchers like Chad Billingsley this season. Add to that the fact that Billingsley is also a ground ball pitcher, and well, the matchup doesn't look good for the Reds.
Luckily, the Dodgers hit lefties much better than right-handers as well. After a terrible outing from Cueto in his last start, and a short outing from Bailey on Sunday, the Reds could really use a quality start tonight. He shouldn't expect a lot of run support, that's for sure.
Keep your eye out for the Dodger way tonight. It should be in full effect.
