Farmers only: Let's be brief

After all, we've got our own prospects to dream about now.

Chris Valaika

Triple-A: Drew T. Anderson and Alvin Colina homered in the Bats' 9-3 win. Corey Patterson was 2 for 5, Todd Coffey struck out 2 and this team has gotten very boring. UP NEXT: Lehigh Valley at Bats, 6:15 tonight.

Double-A: Chris Valaika was 2 for 4 with a homer and a double in Chattanooga's 12-5 win. Jordan Smith got the win and added 3 RBIs, and Justin Turner was 2 for 2 with 2 walks. UP NEXT: Huntsville, 2:15 today.

High A: Drew Heisey was 2 for 5 with a homer in Sarasota's 9-6 loss. Juan Francisco was 0 for 5 with 3 Ks. UP NEXT: Clearwater at Reds, 1 today.

Low A: Dayton finished Friday's game, losing 6-3, then played 7 and lost 10-4. Brandon Waring homered in Game 2, his 11th, and Devin Mesoraco was 1 for 3 in Game 1 and sat out the nightcap. Luis Montano gave up 8 runs in 1.2 innings. So much for that ERA: It's up to 4.45. UP NEXT: West Michigan at Dayton, 4 today.
