First off, last night's start couldn't have been more disappointing, in my opinion. I don't know what I expected from Fogg, but I didn't expect another Eric Milton. I know it's just one start, and I don't expect him to be that bad every time out, but wow that was bad.

So for today, our ace will face Philly's steaming log. I read this about Eaton the other day at The Good Phight: "Seriously? This guy is the Phillies 5th starter going into the season? Again? Please. Just no. Hell, go with 4 starters...for real." Read the rest of that post... it gives me optimism. Eaton beat the Reds last year in his only start against Cincinnati but allowed five runs in six innings. He had a 7.41 ERA in the spring. He's only on the team because of his gaudy contract. Kinda like our old Eric Milton problem. Today is Harang vs. Milton. That oughta make you folks optimistic, even though Ryan Freel is now our backup catcher and our fears that Dusty would pinch hit Juan Castro for Adam Dunn are realized. -boobs
