Time to wipe off the frustration of game one and remember that there are still 161 of these bad boys to be played. Arroyo looked like the badass that he was in 2006 during his last Spring start. If he can carry that over into the season the Reds will be mighty grateful.

A couple of unrelated notes:

- In a secret meeting of the RR Pentaverate it was determined that we at Red Reporter will be adopting the Kansas City Royals this year as our American League Sister Team. Justification for the decision was as follows:

1. Joe Posnanski is a writer for their team, a former writer for the Cincinnati Post and is currently writing a book about the Big Red Machine. He's the best sports writer in the country and if we can't have him writing for us, he can at least have us reading for him.

2. Stat-friendly manager Trey Hillman and internet stat community darling Brian Bannister means the team is forward thinking and looking for new ways to be competitive - something many of us wish the Reds were doing.

3. They have some young, exciting players, including Billy Butler, Alex Gordon, Mark Teahan, and Joakim Soria. And Joey Gaithright has mad hops.

4. They've had a tough go of it with only one winning season since the strike killed their last real shot at the playoffs.

5. They too know what it's like to suffer through Bob Boone as a manager. Plus 4 of their last 8 managers have been catchers, the same ratio as the Reds. Not sure why that matters, but it does.

6. They are man-handling the AL Central favorite Detroit Tigers in their first two games, including a 3-hit shutout this afternoon of the Tigers' vaunted offense. If you're going to jump on the bandwagon, you need to do it early.

7. They also have a truck in the outfield. Theirs, however, is slightly reachable.

8. JD Said so.

So please feel free to root for our Royal brethren. They're in a much tougher division than the Reds, so they'll need all of the help they can get.

- JD asked me to encourage you to use the recommend function on threads and comments. We're not completely sure what will happen when we all start doing that, but we won't know until we find out.
