- The Enquirer's Opening Day special section is worth a read. Looks like John Fay thinks the Reds are trying to move Cormier. I'd be hopeful, but really what the hell does John Fay know? He pretty much presented it as a lock solid certainty that Hermanson would be closing.
- Starting rotations are obviously finalized everywhere now, and the NL Central looks pretty weak. That link goes to the Cardinals rotation because I think it's worth noting that the favorites will be trotting out Kip Wells and Braden Looper every five days. And if anyone goes down Ryan Franklin will probably be stepping in. The division is winnable.
- I really enjoyed Fantasyland, and Viva El Birdos has a nice interview with the author, Sam Walker.
- Baseball America recently did a nice Q&A with Drew Stubbs.
- I've been enjoying Cardboard Gods lately so I figured I'd pass along the link.
- This was posted in the comments, but I figured I'd throw it out there for anyone who didn't see it. 200 Diamond Mind simulations see the Reds going to the playoffs 9.9% of the time. They've got the Brewers under the Reds, surprising since Milwaukee has been such a trendy pick this offseason.
- I remember just assuming that Colt Griffin wouldn't work out for the Royals, even with his 100mph fastball.
- The Baseball Savant lists his ten best Reds hitters of the 90's. Interesting list, but where's Greg Vaughn? I would have included him over Willie Greene or Taubensee.
- This is the funniest thing I've seen in quite some time. Especially from a newspaper. You have to watch it all the way through, Freel, Junior, and Dunn are all towards the end, and you don't want to miss any of the three. Ryan Freel might actually be insane.
