Eric Milton to the DL

Eric Milton

It's really hard to see this as anything but good news:

Sunday's roster shuffle began with left-hander Eric Milton being placed on the 15-day disabled list with lower back stiffness. He was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday in Dayton against the Marlins due to back spasms.

This is also interesting, it sounds like some sort of roster move / trade is in the works:

"We have 24 players," Krivsky said. "We'll add somebody else tomorrow before the game. It could be [right-hander Victor] Santos, or somebody else. I'm going to keep you in suspense. We'll play with 25 guys tomorrow, I can assure you."

My guess is Krivsky is looking for another outfielder. Unless I'm missing something the Reds are only carrying four (+ Conine), and I imagine Krivsky would want another. I doubt the move would be anything earth shattering, and I'm honestly not sure the Reds wouldn't be better off simply carrying Santos, who's had a pretty outstanding spring (for whatever that's worth).
