Friday Links

Not alot today, but this is what I found interesting this Friday:

  • Marc Lancaster is puzzled by the lack of attendance. I hate that this is going to become a big topic of conversation, but it's been true for a long time that people come out to support a team the year after it experiences success. Go back and look at the attendance in 1991 compared to 1990 and remember that the 1991 team finished in fifth place. If the Reds have a good year then people will come out in droves next year.
  • John Sickels reviews the first round of the amateur draft. Seems to like Stubbs, but with reservations.
  • The decline of the Sports Guy.
  • Sometimes I really like Lonnie Wheeler. Not a bad column.
