Quick Hits Wednesday

  • Grady Sizemore just signed a pretty huge deal. That's the kind of deal Adam Dunn should have been offered a couple of years ago, and I think its the kind of deal he would have been offered if Wayne Krivsky had been hired originally instead of DanO.
  • Jerry Narron is keeping the Opening Day lineup a secret, and says that "Rich is going to play a lot of second, first and some shortstop," Narron said. "Freel will play a lot of outfield and some second. Womack will play primarily second, but we'll use him as a pinch hitter, as a pinch runner." It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.
  • From that same article, the roster might not be completely set until Sunday, with a potential trade being a reason why.
  • The 2006 Chattanooga Lookouts roster has been set. Chris Dickerson, Miguel Perez, Joey Votto, Carlos Guevara, and Calvin Medlock are some of the names making a leap from Sarasota.
  • Rafael Gonzalez is still missing. And Generalísimo Francisco Franco is still dead.
