Frank Wren newest GM candidate

From Marc:

The next contestant in the GM sweepstakes: Frank Wren, assistant GM of the Braves. I know he's got some local ties, so it makes sense that he would be interested.

Wren was assistant GM of the Marlins from 1991-98 and GM of the Orioles in 1999. He moved to Atlanta after that season and took over as John Schuerholz's top lieutenant.

I don't know where Wren stands on the stats vs. scouts debate, and frankly I'm not sure I care.  What matters here is that Wren has learned from John Schuerholz, a guy that I can comfortably call one of the greatest GM's in the history of baseball.  Anyone that Schuerholz is okay with, I'm going to be okay with.
