Marc Lancaster Says Not To Worry About Bubba

Bubba Crosby

Marc Lancaster had an interesting point on the Bubba Crosby signing:

I wouldn't get too worked up about the Crosby thing, by the way. Remember who the first signee last offseason was? Dewayne Wise. This is darn near the equivalent. Wait 'til Wayne really gets rolling at or after the GM meetings this week.

He's right of course, but I'd also like to add that I had hoped  when Dan O'Brien was fired that we were finished acquiring players who are only capable of hurting the team.

Also, DeWayne Wise played a lot for someone with DeWayne Wise's baseball playing ability. I have no reason to think the same thing won't happen with Bubba Crosby.

Signings like this one, and the Juan Castro two year deal don't give me a lot of confidence in Krivsky, but hopefully he'll wow me this week at the GM meetings.
