Unreal performance by Kearns last night for Louisville:

Former Cincinnati Reds regular Austin Kearns slugged three home runs in the first four innings Tuesday as Louisville downed Indianapolis, 10-4, at Victory Field.

All three home runs by Kearns were two-run shots. The 25-year-old right fielder went yard in the first, second and fourth innings before flying out to right field in the sixth. Kearns went back to play the field in the bottom frame, but was replaced by Alex Fernandez after not receiving an at-bat in the seventh.

I didn't completely hate the decision to send Kearns to AAA, but it's clear he's earned his way back. Austin's now hitting .324/.400/.676 in 71 at bats for the Louisville Bats.
