Great diary by CTReds, Cincy as a baseball town. I have to agree with most of his conclusions.
Trivia Thread where we're waiting for Gray to ask the next question.
The Reds are calling up Ricky Stone today, but still no word as to who's being sent down:
Because Stone is not on the 40-man roster, the Reds will have to make a move to clear a spot for him there. They also will need to make room for him on the 25-man roster. It was not known Thursday night what those moves would be.Reds general manager Dan O'Brien did not return a call seeking comment Thursday night.
Nice move, one I agree with 100%, yet I'm still a little stunned that this is all we're seeing. I guess a seven game losing streak simply isn't enough to shake up a team when you're Dan O'Brien.
Still lots of trade talk, but as always it's impossible to tell what's going on in O'Brien front office.
It'll be interesting to see what the lineup is tonight. I think it'll be our first peak into what new direction (if any) the Reds will be headed.
