Minor League Roundup for 4/21

New, comments

AAA

Louisville 10 - Norfolk 2

Big win for Louisville.  The offense looked really strong, coming through with 15 hits.  The pitching did a great job as well.  Jeriome Robertson threw six innings of two run ball, and the bullpen blanked Norfolk for the last three innings.

The Bats are now 8-7, still 2 games out of first.

Notable Performances:

Dane Sardinha: 3-5, 2R, RBI
Jason Romano: 3-5, R
Alex Pelaez: 2-5, 2R, RBI
Aaron Holbert: 2-5, 3RBI, 2R, HR (1)
Jeriome Robertson: 6.0 IP, 2ER, 0BB, 3K

AA

Carolina 6 - Chattanooga 4

Carolina finished the four game sweep here, and I'm sure the Lookouts will be glad to get away from the first place Mudcats.

Edward Valdez struggled badly, giving up 10 hits and 5 ER in 6 IP.

The Lookouts are now 6-8 and 4.5 games behind Carolina.

Notable Performances:

Jeff Bannon: 3-4, 2R, RBI
Rick Asadoorian: 4-4, 2RBI, R

High-A

Sarasota 7 - Clearwater 6

Two in a row for Sarasota.  They were down 6-3 going into the bottom of the eighth, but managed to score four times in the inning to notch their fourth win of the season.

Notable Performances:

Junior Ruiz: 1-3, 2BB, 2R
Travis Chapman: 2-4, 2RBI, R

A

Southwest Michigan 7 - Dayton 6

Once again Dayton jumped out to a big lead, 5-0, and let it slip away.

The Dragons are now 4-10 on the season.

Notable Performances:

Trevor Lawhorn: 2-3, R, RBI
Kenny Lewis: 2-4, R, RBI

Just a quick question for you guys.  Are you enjoying the daily minor league updates?  Should I continue doing them every day, or possibly just do a summary once a week?  Let me know what you think in the comments and in the poll I've attached.
