Norfolk 5 - Louisville 1

Steve Kelly struggled and gave up five ER in six innings.  The Louisville offense wasn't completely stagnant, but they were never able to put it all together.

Louisville dropped to 8-7 with the loss.

Carolina 9 - Chattanooga 7

Chattanooga lost it's third in a row to Carolina, and the Lookouts fell to 6-7 on the season.  Richie Gardner had a rought outing, surrendering five ER in five innings.

Sarasota 5 - Tampa 3

They finally pulled one out.  This was just Sarasota's third win of the season, and they were helped by a very solid outing from Bobby Basham.

Southwest Michigan 12 - Dayton 0

What an ugly game.  Dayton only managed one hit and  virtually all of their pitchers were rocked. Dayton's now 4-9 and starting to rival Sarasota for worst Reds minor league franchise.
