Sporting News Honors FeLo and Junior

From MLB.com:

Sporting News has joined the ranks of those congratulating Ken Griffey Jr. for his impressive 2005 season.

The magazine has named Griffey its Comeback Player of the Year after he hit .301 with 35 home runs and 92 RBIs this season. Junior was also named a National League All-Star outfielder by the publication.

[...]

Shortstop Felipe Lopez was named to the NL All-Star team after his breakout season, during which he hit .291 with 23 homers and 85 RBIs.

Isn't it odd that nobody talks about how absolutely terrible The Sporting News has become?  I can remember really liking the magazine back in the day, especially it's feature where they reprinted all the MLB box scores from the previous week.  Now the magazine is totally irrelevant.  Kind of amazing how quickly that can happen.

But yeah, it's still nice to see Junior and Lopez honored.
