Chicago Cubs closer Ryan Dempster agreed Saturday to a $15.5 million, three-year contract extension through the 2008 season.
And some Cubs fans would rather blame a goat or Steve Bartman for their team's misfortune. That's a heck of a lot of money for a guy with a 1.43 WHIP, 49 walks in 92 innings, and a history of control problems. Congrats Cubs fans!
