Game Thread: Game 143 vs. the Brewers

BREWERS PROBABLE: REDS PROBABLE:
Ben Sheets (11-4, 3.36) Phil Dumatrait (0-3, 13.00)
Just a slight pitching mismatch today. Are we all ready for some football?

Then again...
this game started with three homers
you had it right
i'm sure that's happened before
all the scouting reports i read
before today twice
Second baseman Rickie Weeks, shortstop J.J. Hardy and third baseman Ryan Braun hit back-to-back-to-back home runs off Cincinnati left-hander Phil Dumatrait in a span of nine pitches. It was the third time in Major League history that a team has hit three homers in a row to begin a game.
The first club to do it was the 1987 Padres, and the 2003 Braves matched the feat against these same Reds.
if by 'year' you mean 'career'
the cowboy said he takes
How the hell is Dunn the closest guy there?
an out!
Hopp'n'Kepp
So, is the Dummy-trait

Hint to those blacked out: proxies.
i dont follow
Proxies
Google free proxies to find some. You may need to try several different ones to find one that works at a reasonable speed.
Firefox has several extensions that make it easy to switch proxies.

Ellison

Bruce

Ellison owns him.

I happe to think
It just goes to show that Bruce is nothing special in a Major League uniform.

dollars to donuts
Frankly
yeah

I like posting these, because it's so pleasing
His power has only started to come around since the first week of August. He's been slugging .559 since August 4th. I don't think he'd do that for an entire season, but it makes me more hopefully that he can be closer to the .500 slugger that I thought he could be.
When the description says
it was good solid single the other way
Petey Mack
He probably knows
Adam Dunn gets the job done
I don't like this missing strike zone on GD
Holy crap
And Estrada and Mench
Buck Coats
Why did he bring in Coutlangus
D'oh
I'd say that went fairly well.

Something wicked this way comes
Dunn is sucking
And Votto just wasn't paying attention
Man, Edwin is becoming a webgemmer
Kepp still whacking the ball!
Sorry i missed the game - maybe tomorrow...Work is all consuming, remember if you go to work for yourself it is never ending and you have to provide the energy, direction and ideas to be a sucksess...not to mention the cash!
anybody watch the VMAs?
Britney opened up the VMAs with a lifeless performance of her new song "Gimme More." She should change the song to "Gimme More Boniva" because Britney was moving like a 75 year old woman with osteoporosis.

This does not surprise me.

But but but...
C'mon, give the girl (another) chance.
(Oh, yeah. I keed. I'm eager to see this performance pop up on YouTube.)
It's one of the top stories on CNN this morning
Britney bashing...
As we head into the homestretch of this anti-news cycle, I'm rescinding my snark and now offering my support for the young single working mother.
I've still not seen her recent work, but it sounds honest, compelling and raw.
But maybe that's because that's how I like my women- Drugged. Or something.

Wasn't there supposed to be a magic trick
Anyway, best line I've read so far about the whole thing: "MTV might as well as put a baby horse on a skate board and pushed it across the stage."
I believe I'd like to see that.

Criss Angel
one of the reviews i read
i will say that i was a britney fanboy back in the day (for what she was -- a writhing, no-talent sex organism who just made you feel young -- she was great), but watching last night felt like witnessing history. nobody comes back from that. she was much worse than the drunk girl at the bar who gets up and dances on the table, even if that girl faceplants on the floor.
