Stanton out, Gosling up
Mike Stanton is going on the DL with a strained left hamstring.
We are selecting from Louisville the contract of LHP Michael Gosling (13gs, 5-3, 3.00, 78ip, 71h, 23bb, 65k, 7hr). He will wear 36.
Gosling has spent some time in the bigs, and even threw 1 1/3 innings in relief in one game for us last year. Decent outing; he replaced a struggling aaron harang, retired the side in his first inning but then allowed a home run to reggie abercrombie in the next.
His career major league ERA+ (in just 59 innings) is 94. I probably would have rather seen dumatrait, or even votto, but we'll just have to see.

Hey, thanks.
Eh.
Gosling?
He's been a starting pitcher for Louisville. Are we swapping a reliever for a starter with this move, or are they going to put Gosling in the pen?
It's probably just a short-term thing, anyway. Yesterday, they said they were going to try Guardado on back to back days (today and Monday). If all goes well, he'll rejoin the big club.
Guessing
About two months older than Ryan Gosling, btw.
