Masquerade!

Paper faces on parade...

It sounds like most of us are into Alter Ego Night, or "Masquerade!", as Alter Ego Night 2007 will be known. (Hat tip to Slyde on a beautiful name.) Here's the deets...

Masquerade! Alter Ego Night 2007 -- Comment under a different name
WHEN:   Wednesday, May 16. 10:05 p.m.
WHERE:  Your neighborhood redreporter
WHAT:   Cincinnati Reds vs. San Diego Padres
WHO:    Everyone is invited. But BYOB
COVER:  Free!
WHY:    Because

It's dress-up time. To change your screen name, just log out and register with a different e-mail address. Not rocket science, really. It should be some spirited good fun. Act like yourself, or act like someone else. It's up to you. What happens at Masquerade! stays at Masquerade!.

NOTE: I don't have permission to do this. So I'm kind of just hoping that JD gives his blessing. Please, please, please JD let us play... I'll do extra chores for a week! I promise... pleeeeeeeeeeze...

Masquerade! Don't come as yourself, or don't come at all.

I don't think JD will go for it
I remember when RexSpex27 suggested we have a silly hat day. JD came down on him like the hammer of the gods. Poor guy was never heard from again. JD even erased all his previous comments so there's no record of him. Mayhaps he'll show up on Wednesday with an ax to grind.

What a fun idea !
JD thinks that the season is over so why not have some fun? I've certainly taken advantage of the opportunity of an early entry in the Alter Ego Masqierade. Some folks are just too petty. But not boobs. you're the best and funnest - if only Virgil and Jane and V. J. Bench could be here to sing your praises.
This the end, beautiful friends, the end

Carry on Virgil, Jane & VJ
Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that I don't know

It's ok with me if it's ok with Crolfer's parents

My bad.
I realize now that you (and others) might be thinking "Wha?"

That's Hilary Swank as a (not necessarily) cross-dressing and star-crossed teen in love.  I was not attempting to indentify Crolfer as either of the teems in the picture.  I was simply making a dumb joke about how if a woman came to RR's "Masquerade" as a man, well, you never know what might happen with us crazies in here.  (I probably should have referenced some more conventional cross-dressing from say Bill Shakespeare's catalog. Or Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis. Or something.

Don't mind me.
