Probablistic Defensive Range

Baseballmusings.com generously lists its defensive rankings for each position. http://www.baseballmusings.com/archives/cat_probabilistic_model_of_range.php

Tons of surprises. Encarnacion and Freel come out near the top, while Lopez finds himself towards the bottom of shortstops. So we have yet another reason Freel should be starting ahead of Womack and Aurilia. It'd be nice if there was at least someone on each side of the infield who could move.

Some dispiriting data regarding the OF. Griffey and Pena come in dead last for their positions, while Kearns is towards the bottom.  Could it be that maybe, just maybe, the Reds pitching problems aren't entirely due to the pitchers and the park? Anyone have any thoughts on the validity of this study and what it may mean for the upcoming year.
