Look out Queen City, I’m coming home for the weekend! I find the need to express my joy and excitement because I'm going to pop in over at Riverbend to catch one of my favorite live musical acts, Phish, tomorrow evening. And then the purpose of the grand journey, I'm going to watch our Reds take on the Twins at GABP on Saturday with the whole family. It’ll be my wife and kids’ first Reds game! It’ll be hall of fame day! And it’s a bobble head day, taboot! I REALLY want to see Chapman pitch. Yeah, I know I already posted this picture in a game thread, but that game thread was bunk, so to make sure no one sees this again, why not make a fan shot? I'm lucky enough to have a buddy in town whose mother works for a radio station (94.9, I think). She was able to secure us the tickets and passes for this festive weekend. Getting on the road tonight. Can't wait!

Welcome to Cincy, kid. I, for one, welcome our new douche-y overlords.

The Royals have now lost every home game that they have played. They are on a 12-game losing streak. There have only been 20 12-game losing streaks since the strike, and five of those have belonged to the Royals. In response, this guy has decided he'd rather read than suffer through another loss by his team. I think that a lot could go wrong for our beloved Mudville Nine before we're reading at ballgames. So whenever life gets you down Mr. Brown, or things seem hard or tough, just remember that we're not the Royals.
