Baseball Poll Numbers

I found this at Fay's blog, and it seemed interesting. Baseball is more popular amongst educated and rich folks. It is also more popular with African Americans rather than white's. It is much more popular with men rather than women. The Yankee's are America's favorite team and surprisingly the Blue Jay's are America's least favorite team. Also at least one fan thinks every team will win the World Series, even the Pirates, Royals, Brewers, and Cubs.

This is just one of many pics Jamey Ramsey posted of Reds at media day for the ASG. I love it when people get dressed up even when they don't have to. Arthur Rhodes, you are awesome.

Brennaman/Brantley ranked 2nd worst broadcasting team by GQ

The commentary is hilarious. "Brantley, a.k.a. "The Cowboy," has things to say, dammit! Unfortunately, the things Brantley has to say are usually all filler, which he nevertheless delivers in a grave, condescending tone. And Brennaman, like Brantley, is more than happy to lead a discussion away from baseball—like in the direction of BBQ ribs, which, you'll be glad to know, the Cowboy eats a lot of."

CINCINNATI Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips spent Thursday morning in Family Court battling one of his baby mamas, a local woman with whom he has a 4-year-old daughter. He has another child with a woman in Buffalo. Phillips, who was selected as a reserve in tomorrow's MLB All-Star Game, and Danielle Daluisio had a casual relationship in 2006 that resulted in a daughter, Micole Malia Phillips. Phillips has seen the child a total of five days in four years according to Daluisio's lawyer, Lynne Gold-Bikin, chairwoman of Weber Gallagher's family-law division. Thursday's hearing set dates in August for a child-support hearing and November for a custody hearing. Daluisio, who receives $5,000 per month from Phillips for the child, is seeking a significant increase in child support from the baller, who signed a 4-year, $27 million contract with the Reds in 2008. Daluisio, 27, who works in school administration and has an internship with the NCAA, has primary custody of the child and seeks to establish more strict visitation conditions for Phillips, 29, such as preventing him from exposing the child to other women, according to Gold-Bikin. An attorney for Phillips declined to comment on the situation, and a Reds spokesman did not get back to us.
