Game 40 Thread: Part 3

A great woman once said, "Sometimes when you win you lose."  And sometimes, when you lose Keppinger, you weep.  It's 4-1 and the announcers can't be any more somber.

Game 40 Thread: Part 2

I'm starting to like this Volquez character.  What's his story?  I haven't heard much about him.

The current set of Reds who have faced Hendrickson have hit him very well as a group (.408/.432/.553).  It's only 82 PAs, but it still shows he is hittable.  Remember that: he is hittable.

Volquez just needs to keep the wagon rolling.  He has some work to do if he's going to catch Cliff Lee for the ERA lead.  Tonight's focus should be on the win though.  The Reds haven't won back-to-back games this month.  It's time for that statement to be false.
