Game Thread: Game 43 vs. the Indians

No game thread up yet... and the game's started already... Let's see if Cincy can finally pull something together and get themselves a win... I'm not real optomistic though... with Hamilton likely not playing, our already paltry offense looks a lot weaker...

stupid 300 word or whatever the stupid rule is... grrrr...........

i guess....
...technically Crolfer's first. But is this an indication of Reds fandom's state of mind? Game's started, and this is the extent of the day's posting activity.

1-0 baby
I'm undefeated, can we get a standings update? Everybody stay outta my way, I'm feeling it.

This guy sucks.  Tell me again why the Reds tried to draft him?

Belisle
Man, this guy sucks too.

by Brian B on May 19, 2007 8:09 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

We're gonna need...
10 or more runs tonight. I don't trust anyone on our pitching staff.

by RedHotHollywood on May 19, 2007 7:55 PM EDT   0 recs

annnd Belisle has forgotten
how to throw strikes.

I do.
Although I usually have more accuracy than Hopper did on the throw in question.

I hope the Reds are paying attention to what a hit with men on base looks like.

The Korean Graduate Student
who lives in the apartment below me has been listening to "Ain't Nuthin' But A G-Thang" for a solid week. He gets about 2 and half minutes into the song and then starts it over. "Rat-a-tat-tat" was popular midweek, but we're back to all G-Thang yesterday and today.

For those who don't remember, that'a a really repetitive bass line.

Dunn is fun, but Griffey's spiffy.

by Man Mountain on May 19, 2007 8:40 PM EDT   0 recs

I had a similar problem
The chick next door was enthralled with the last Mariah Carey album.  I stabbed her in the heart with a trident. Now I'm laying low for awhile.

by RedHotHollywood on May 19, 2007 8:41 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

It just occured
to me that for him it really is nothing but a G-Thang.

I didn't realize trident was that hazardous; glad I switched to Orbit.

Dunn is fun, but Griffey's spiffy.

Let's get down to brass tacks
How do the Reds cough up this lead?

Points for originality.

Krivsky makes last second move...
acquires Jose Mesa, and he goes game 7, 1997 World Series on his old mates. We lose in 11 innings on a balk, by new pitcher Adam Dunn.

by RedHotHollywood on May 19, 2007 8:59 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I dunno...
...but the penultimate inning will probably be involved.

It'll have something to do with Hafner,
because it always does.

I'm thinking walk-off hit by pitch. I don't think we've tried that one yet.

does anyone remember that
family guy where peter reads the new yorker and sits there for like 3 days trying to figure out the cartoon? Im pretty sure it was a guy saying "I'd be apathetic if I weren't so lethargic." that's kind of how the reds are making me feel.

What's not to like?
It's the eighth inning, where losing means winning and winning means losing.

There was a rule change that you probably didn't get the memo on.

From MLB.com:  Any runs you give up in the eighth are added to your score, not the other team's.

Could use a starting pitcher (Lohse) or two (Milton, once off the DL)?

Random thought:
I was drunk at bw3's last night watching the game and some people booed Burton, and right afterward stopped paying attention when Stanton came in, is anyone else ok with Burton beaming the crap out of people due to his age when you've got Stanton coming in

Let me recommend
The variety big box.  It should come with a big bow on it; it's that good.

You open it up, and there in front of you lie a drumstick, a crispy strip, a box of popcorn chicken, 2 sides of your choice (I go with mashed potatoes and potato wedges), and a biscuit.  Hell, get another biscuit, too.
