Game Thread: Game 43 vs. the Indians

No game thread up yet... and the game's started already... Let's see if Cincy can finally pull something together and get themselves a win... I'm not real optomistic though... with Hamilton likely not playing, our already paltry offense looks a lot weaker...

stupid 300 word or whatever the stupid rule is... grrrr...........

...technically Crolfer's first. But is this an indication of Reds fandom's state of mind? Game's started, and this is the extent of the day's posting activity.

The Korean Graduate Student
who lives in the apartment below me has been listening to "Ain't Nuthin' But A G-Thang" for a solid week. He gets about 2 and half minutes into the song and then starts it over. "Rat-a-tat-tat" was popular midweek, but we're back to all G-Thang yesterday and today.

For those who don't remember, that'a a really repetitive bass line.

Dunn is fun, but Griffey's spiffy.

I had a similar problem
The chick next door was enthralled with the last Mariah Carey album.  I stabbed her in the heart with a trident. Now I'm laying low for awhile.

It just occured
to me that for him it really is nothing but a G-Thang.

I didn't realize trident was that hazardous; glad I switched to Orbit.

Krivsky makes last second move...
acquires Jose Mesa, and he goes game 7, 1997 World Series on his old mates. We lose in 11 innings on a balk, by new pitcher Adam Dunn.

It's the eighth inning, where losing means winning and winning means losing.

There was a rule change that you probably didn't get the memo on.

From MLB.com:  Any runs you give up in the eighth are added to your score, not the other team's.

Let me recommend
The variety big box.  It should come with a big bow on it; it's that good.

You open it up, and there in front of you lie a drumstick, a crispy strip, a box of popcorn chicken, 2 sides of your choice (I go with mashed potatoes and potato wedges), and a biscuit.  Hell, get another biscuit, too.

Minor league updates
Louisville wins 13-3, Edwin 3-6 with a homer off of Dan Kolb. He's hitting .359 in Louisville. Dewayne Wise had 2 homers, which I do not like seeing. Aaron Herr went 4-6 with a jack of his own.

In Sarasota, Johnny Cueto goes 8 innings giving up only 1 run on 3 hits, which puts his ERA at 3.16 on the season. Jay Bruce with a 2-5 night and another double, giving him 27 extra base hits in 41 games. The Reds ultimately won 7-5 in 10 after a blown save in the 9th.

They ended up losing.  In 10th inning.  With two outs, a wild pitch let the winning run score.

Yup, it was a walkoff wild pitch.  :-P
