the nats have a lot of reds
nevermind. He's in Washington's system now. I hear it takes 5 years for a claussen to completely work itself out of your system. Unless you're a bear.

Also, Claussen is the official pickle of the old Reds' rotation.

Larkin and Rijo
Are they still advisors?  Living in DC, I should know this.  Daedalus, are you any help?

Maybe Krivsky's dumbest move.....

the highlight of Boobs' link

[His finest campaign came in 2005, when he went 10-11 with a 4.21 ERA in 29 starts for the Reds. That season, Claussen allowed three earned runs or less in 21 of 29 assignments, and was the only starting pitcher for whom the 73-89 Reds posted a winning record (Cincinnati finished 15-14 in Claussen's starts).]

If Claussen's rough 2006 was due to injury, and he comes anywhere close to returning to 2005 numbers, giving up on Claussen might be even worse than "the trade"

Teams are paying obscene amounts of money for pitching and we just kick a young left handed pitcher to the curb after one bad season (when he was hurt !)

Leatherpants beats Krivsky again !

Here's another prediction to tag
So we can find it later, since I think it will come true at some point.

Don't mind me...just thinking positive and pitching to contact, that's all...

Agreed
I agree.  If Claussen's got any chance of recovering at all, it seems ridiculous to DFA him.  I don't understand this penchant of his for DFA'ing pitchers.  Last year it was Hancock and Luke Hudson.  Hancock would look good in the bullpen right now and would mean a savings of about 2 million over one of our elderly relievers and is there anybody who wouldn't rather have Luke Hudson than Victor Santos?
