Per Marc: Not that it really matters at this point, but it looks like the last week-and-a-half will be played without Ryan Freel, who apparently broke his left thumb diving for a ball on Tuesday night.
Boy, it's a good thing that he wasn't in the lineup on Wednesday where he might have made it worse... Wait, what? He was? Oh...

Here's to 10 games with a combination of Hopper, Wise, and Deno leading off!!

How much you want to bet...

That as bad as the Reds' medical staff is, they will find something during the surgery (like a complete ligament tear) that will require more than just "cleanup"?
