this is a bad sign,
i think the reds are going to keep the tradition of trading away their latin players.  i have a bad feeling that in the next few days he'll be on some other roster while we get a mediocre pitcher.

I was saddened to hear about the Tour de Farce winner testing positive. What a dope. I did wonder how a guy who needs his hip replaced could win that race.

i think they are running a second test to be sure, but it is sad that he did test positive.  

i move we start having drinking events where competitors get drunk and compete.  It would be much more entertaining and frankly, I think the players would be more appealing to the every man.

He was 3 for 3 with a walk in the first game.  He was 4 for 4 with a walk in the second game.  He grounded into a double play in his first at bat in the third game, though he still went 2 for 5.  And then he was hit by Stewart and left the game to start game 4.

If only we had a young player to develop for 3B long term.  You know, a "third baseman of the future."  Perhaps a kid flashing some serious skill with the bat.  Maybe showing some range defensively.  I'd be willing live with a few errors, you have to with a young kid, but at least somebody we could get in there to hit righties.  If only....

Guess it will have to remain a dream.

I think in the two games that he played since the trade, they've decided that Denorfia can't play baseball.  So they've sandbagged him.  Clearly Wise can hit the 4-3 grounder more consistently than Denorfia.

Pamplona is a madhouse, full of people from all over the globe there for the party. I would say that the bulls would one day say that they ran with me, except that they were killed later in the day in the bullfights. The last day that I ran I suffered some wounds on my knees and elbows, but I treated them with alchol based hand-sanitizer for the duration of my trip--a great way to wake up in the morning. Maybe my internal clock is off, but I plan to stay up for the duration of the night drinking. Reds win! Reds win!
