I can't say I've ever heard of Bobby Keppel, but he's had a rough time his last three starts. Hopefully the Reds will be able to take advantage of a weak pitcher tonight.

Apparently LaRue's unhappy that he's not playing everyday. Marc and Marty discussed trading him, but point out that his contract is going to be a big obstacle. David Ross is hitting well, can call a good game, and plays good defense. Everything we already know.

but I am finding Grande and Welsh to be helarious tonight. Especialy Welsh, who I guess is always pretty witty, but his "Bobby Kappel didn't even know who Bobby Kappel was this season" got a out loud laugh from me.

Rule 10.19
MLB has the official rules available.

Official scorer may elect not to award the win to a reliever if his outing was "brief and ineffective," but in that case must award the win to a following pitcher who was effective.  In other words, it cannot be given to the starter if the lead was blown for him, regardless of whether he was by far the most effective pitcher in the game.

Also can't give both the win and save to the same pitcher.

Man, Bronson must be fuming...
Narron was looking pissed in the dugout... frankly, I don't care. Unless someone tied him down or held a gun to his head and made him put Hammond and Weathers in, then I blame his moves for the blown save.
Weathers looked extremely hittable as recently as LAST NIGHT. Reggie Sanders was hitting .444 against Weathers when he came up, and surprise surprise, He GOT A HIT.
Hammond's best pitch is a 65 MPH changeup. I think everyone's figured this out by now.

Are we still worried about Belisle's back? I seriously want some sort of explanation as to why Belisle wasn't at least warming up...

This bullpen is pathetic. Blow it up.

I'll take it. The Offense is coming around and some of the young players are getting it done. Bring on the Tribe. This could be real interesting because these guys have moments when the just kill the ball. Hopefully this week end will not be one of them. I hope the Lizard man goes through their line up like Godzilla through Toyko. 2 out of 3 from the Tribe would be a good way to keep things rolling. And those that we will not mention here will get it together this week end! you heard it here first.
