Matt Maloney Only

The Reds main man is close to being able to help the ball club again. That's right, soft tossing lefty Matt Maloney made his triumph return to the Reds organization, he is only a couple of AAA starts away from being able to be the dominant Tom Glavine like ace everyone knows he will one day become.

Sadly Matt Maloney's surely Hall of Famer career has been side tracked for the last few seasons by Tommy John Surgery and struggles bouncing back from Tommy John Surgery. But big Maloney's elbow is now fully healed and his powerful arm is ready to return the Reds to the glory days.

Sadly Maloney stumbled in his first AAA start, he pitched just 2.2 innings, giving up 6 runs, but only 2 earned (defense fail!), with 10 hits, 0 BB, and 1 HR. So some bad defense and bad BABIP luck domed the big man from the start. But they always say that you don't worry about minor league results when talented pitchers are working their way back to the big leagues. The important thing is Matt Maloney came out of the start feeling good.

He threw 59 pitches, hopefully after just 2 more minor league starts he'll be ready to return to the Reds rotation as the ace we all know he will one day be.
