Thanks to ManBearSelig, knightsofsebastian and the other commish's for a fun summer of pretend baseball. I'd thought to start a thread where we can break down the year without making the rest of the blog tear their eyes out or something.
My MVP: Matt Carpenter. Hands down was my best stat-stuffer. I know he was a cardinal, and I didn't want to post this until after the WS.
Cy-Young: Derek Holland. Steady, good K's and out-performed Verlander for me.
Rolaids relief: Rivera, banked save, but did have some bad days.
Comeback player of the year: Chase Utley. Despite a longish DL stint, he still put up some good 2B numbers.
Best waiver move/trade: Picking up Carpenter between the draft and start of season. Originally just done for positional depth, he became my best hitter.
Worst roster move: Dropping Dom Brown to activate Granderson right before he had his 15-20 HR month. He was having an okay year to that point, but mama said their would be days like these.
So let us sit upon the ground and tell sad stories of the death of fantasy baseball teams.
