I've made a video recapping the 2013 Reds season that should hopefully pump you up as the Reds push towards the playoffs. I put a decent amount of effort into it, and generally tried to sync the music and the highlights. It was also tough to cull a season's worth of highlights. You can watch it in HD if you'd like. All of the other videos on my channel I made for the Cincinnati Bengals, so this is my first Reds one. It definitely has a different song choice than the Bengals videos. Some of you might not like the music, but I like it. FYI- it's "In The End" by The Royal Concept, a Swedish alternative/indie rock band that is essentially a combo of The Strokes and Phoenix. In fact, its debut album comes out in a few days.
I tried including as many different Reds as possible. By my count, from the current expanded 40-man roster, only Nick Christiani, Corky Miller, and Ryan Ludwick were not directly involved in at least one play in this video. I even had Zach Duke as a member of the Nationals doing his part in giving up a HR to Todd Frazier, if that counts.
Here's a summary of the main highlights of this video:
-first run of the season scored by Choo
-some slow-motion camera footage
-6 home runs in a game against the Nationals
-the Sam LeCure Shuffle
-Reds breaking the club record for K's in a game
-the Cingrani Face
-scoring 8 consecutive runs without getting out against the Cardinals in the 9th inning
-Derrick Robinson's inside-the-parker (blown call by the ump)
-Billy Hamilton's first steal
-solid starting rotation
-final out of Homer Bailey's no-hitter
-back-to-back HRs to walk-off against the Braves
-Devin Mesoraco's superhuman game against the Brewers, and winning HR against the Rangers (yes, I am a big Devin Mesoraco fan, even if he has been slumping lately)
