Farmers Only: Call Me Ismael Guillon Maybe

hey! guys! I'm still relevant! - USA TODAY Sports Images

Part of Farmers Only went on a field trip! Unfortunately, the not me part.

  • Louisville had 13 hits, but were 5-16 with RISP, so they lost to the PawSox, 6-5. Derrick Robinson's triumphant return from whence he came went well, going 3-5 with 2 doubles in his AAA re-debut. He even had an outfield assist! Neftali Soto reached base 3 times as well, but despite getting 'em on and getting 'em over, they couldn't get 'em in. Chad Rogers wasn't at his best, allowing 6 runs in 5 1/3 innings on just 4 hits and 3 walks, but his pitch-to-contact method didn't work so well on this particular occasion. Up next: Greg Reynolds (11-3, 2.50) takes on the Pawtucket Xander Bogaerts at 7:05.

  • Pensacola lost a heartbreaker in 14 innings to the M-Barves, 3-2. Tim Crabbe was pinching up eyeballs for his 6 innings, striking out 9 and allowing just 1 run, but Trevor Bell gave up a tying run in the top of the ninth, and Loek Van Mildew put runners on for Drew "Mays" Hayes to uncork a run-scoring wild pitch to lose. The Wahoos managed just 8 hits in 14 innings, though they did walk 6 times. Tucker Barnhart was the only guy with multiple hits, going 2-5 with a walk, and Josh Fellhauer had the only Pensacola XBH, a double. Up next: Josh Smith (9-8, 3.60) looks to break the Wahoos' 4 game losing streak against the Braves at 7.

  • Bakersfield beat the Rawhide, 7-2, thanks to a big night from Kyle "Broflovski" Waldrop. The Blaze's current HR leader was 4-4 with a solo tallywhacker, falling a triple shy of the cycle. Shane Dyer was good in his 6 innings, allowing just 1 run on 6 hits, striking out 4 and walking 2. Up next: Off day!

  • Dayton felt the need to step it up in the presence of half of Farmers Only, and they didn't disappoint, beating the Loons like it was Victorian England, 3-1. I'll leave most of the recapping to -ManBearPig and BK, but Zach Vincej (apparently pronounced Vin-see) honked a wanger and Ismael Guillon was very good, striking out 5 and walking just 1 in 6 innings, giving up one lone run on 5 hits, retiring 14 of the final 15 batters he faced after allowing that one run in the first inning. Cool bizzeans. Up next: Loon-wrangling at 7, with Nick Travieso (6-3, 5.19) taking the bump.

  • Billings was castrated by the Chukars, falling 10-1. 5 measly hits, a costly error, and poor pitching were the story here. Up next: Lucas Moran (3-2, 3.88) faces the Chukars (never gets old) at 9:15.

  • The AZLiens were off. They'll try not to suck against the Dauphins at 10. And in case that joke was too much of a stretch, they're playing the AZL Royals.
