DOUBLEHEADER!
The Reds have Tony Cingrani and Greg Reynolds starting tonight. We know all about Cingrani, but Greg Reynolds is a guy who most haven't heard of (unless you read Farmers Only, because you should be). Reynolds is 10-2 in Louisville so far this year, with a 2.54 ERA. He has 79 K in 127 innings, which isn't great, but he's getting results. His previous big league experience is minimal at best, with his last stint coming in 2011 with the Rockies.
The Giants will toss Eric Surkamp to the ravenous Reds offense in the first game, as the Moeller grad pitches against the team he (presumably) grew up rooting for. He similarly hasn't been in the bigs since 2011, and has a 4.00 ERA in 9 starts in AAA this year. We'll see Barry Zito in the second game, which brings up bad memories that I'm going to skip.
Go Reds! They're my favorite team times two!
