Rain shortened win? We'll take it. Bronson pitched well, and most importantly, had a complete game. That'll save the bullpen, and all of a sudden we're going for at least a series split tonight.
And we do this with a pretty enticing pitching matchup. Homer Bailey and Tim Lincecum are two power pitchers, former first round picks, and are both struggling right now. The Reds have lost 5 of Bailey's last 6 starts, partly due to run support though, since 3 of those were quality starts. Keep in mind, too, that in this NLDS that apparently happened that everyone keeps bringing up, Homer did his job, throwing 7 innings of 1-run ball with 10 strikeouts in that Game 3.
On the other side of the dugout will be former Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum, who's also seen a recent bad streak derail a solid start to the season. The Giants have lost 7 of his last 8 starts, including his last one in LA where he didn't make it out of the 6th.
Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
