Thankfully, the Reds won yesterday. Bad news? 4 games in Hotlanta before the All-Star break. Not what a struggling team needs, but the Reds will have Mat Latos on the mound to start things off. Mat gave up 4 runs but managed to strike out 11 in his last start for his 8th win.
He'll face wily veteran Tim Hudson, who surprisingly enough, is in his 9th year in Atlanta. That's 50% more years than he spent in Oakland, which is admittedly the team I think of when I think of Tim Hudson. His WAR in Atlanta still doesn't compare, which is what I'm getting at with this preview. He's not the same guy. Still, he was great in his last start out against Philly and has a 3.10 ERA career against the Redlegs.
Thanks to Mike Leake, the bullpen is rested and ready. Go Reds!
