Reds acquire Mark Teahen from Diamondbacks

David Banks

Late news last night, as the Reds picked up Mark Teahen from Arizona for a player to be named later. He has an OPS of .571 for Arizona's AAA affiliate so far in 2013 (.211/.318/.254), and hasn't played in the majors since 2011 with the Blue Jays.

I wish this move didn't have any significance, but there's a chance it might. If this is the insurance for the LF spot while Ludwick and Heisey are out, the Reds are in big, big trouble.
