This one is a Fifth Starter Off. As of this writing, Chapman has the upper hand, despite a very rocky first inning. Brandon Phillips also recently claimed Chapman was the fastest guy on the team, but still have not seen video evidence of him at the plate, much less the base paths.

The spring roster is down to 39 after Reds optioned Curtis Partch Henry Rodriguez, Neftali Soto and Pedro Villarreal to Louisville and Lutz to Pensacola. No huge surprises there, though H-Rod has an outside chance of making the roster with an injury. Lutz leaves camp as a conquering hero. He'll be on the fast track mid-to-late season call-up.
