Not really much to talk about today...

Reds Minor Leagues: Breaking Down Billy's Swing

Doug Gray looks at changes in Billy Hamilton's swing from 2011 to 2012. Aside from breaking the stolen base record this past season, Billy had the best offensive season of his career in 2012. His slash line of .311/.410/.420, paired with his blazing speed has seen him has seen Hamilton shooting up the prospect rankings this off-season.

John Fay: Leaving his Hall of Fame Ballot Blank

The Fayman has kind of been getting ripped for this. I get that this ballot is tough, and it's only going to get crazier in the next few years, but not sending in a ballot is kind of a cop-out, and unfairly punishes people like Raines and Trammell. It's going to be hilarisad when Jack Morris is the only one enshrined next summer.

John Fay again: Guessing The Reds New TV Deal

The Indians recently sold their broadcast rights to Fox Sports for $400 million over the next ten years. Fay speculates that the Reds next deal, which will take place no later than 2016, should be similar to what our upstate buddies got and would help the Reds get payroll well over the $100 million mark. This helps explain why the Reds keep back loading contracts.
