After last night's kick to the groin the Reds will try to rebound on the arm of Homer Bailey. As we've noted, Bailey has been pretty terrible lately. He hasn't been very good against the Phillies in his career either, posting a 5.88 ERA.
The Reds will try their magic bats against Cliff Lee. He has been hittable lately, posting an ERA of 4.34 in 3 August starts. If you were hoping to see the Phillies bullpen for multiple innings you're likely out of luck. Lee has been going deep into games all season. In 21 starts this year Lee has failed to pitch at least 6 innings only once and he averages over 7 innings pitcher per start. With only 24 walks allowed all year, we shouldn't expect many free passes either. Home-runs on the other hand? Yeah, Lee is susceptible to the long ball.
