Dear Thom,

Broadcasting can be something of a thankless job at times, and while I've posted many of my own criticisms of you on here, I've truthfully never had much issue with you as the Reds TV announcer. 2011 was difficult for all of us, and you've got enough of your dad in you that the excessive criticism of certain players was a little tiring. Overall though I think you actually do a pretty good job at what you do.

While many would call for Kelch as your replacement, I sometimes find it hard to stay awake when he calls games (don't anyone act like this isn't true). But it's ok! All announcers have their faults and if someone wants to air them out on blogs like the Red Reporter, I say let them. When it comes down to it, all I really care about is some Reds baseball and could care the fuck less who's calling it.

So with my sincerest apologies for ripping on you those one times, please accept this picture of a fruit basket as a token of goodwill.
