- Louisville lost to the Junior Yankees, 3-1. Pedro Villareal was the hard-luck loser, going 7 very solid innings, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 4. Shit just got Villareal, because Pedro has been great in 43 AAA innings after being promoted from Pensacola. If a spot start is needed in Cincinnati, I'm not going to be upset if he's the guy to make it. Anyway, the Bats' offense generally sucked, as Joey Gathright knocked in the only run as part of a 2-4 day. I would be upset if he got a spot OF start. Dioner Navarro and Felix Perez each had 2 hits as well. Up next: Sean "Sigh" Gallagher (5-3, 4.82) faces SWB at 11:05 in the AM.

Pensacola ran into some rain in Birmingham, and the game was suspended in the 4th inning with the Wahoos up 2-1 on the Barons. All-star Joel Guzman had ribbied the two ribbies, and Cuetinho had given up 1 run in 3.1 innings. I assume the game will resume tomorrow, but no idea what time.

Bakersfield beat Stockton, 6-3. Theo "Huxtable" Bowe stole his 18th and 19th bases in a 3-4 effort, and Billy Hamilton got 72 (but 0-4 on the night). Tucker Barnhart was obviously pumped about that sweet portrait BK made of him, going 3-4 with a tucked barner. Lots of singles and walks for the Blaze. Up next: Bakersfield kicks off a doubleheader at 2:05 eastern against the Ports. No starters yet.

Dayton totaled the Hot Rods, winning 9-5. Our old pal Bill Bray snagged the win with 1.2 perfect innings, striking out 3. Kyle Waldrop bebopped a rocksteady and Sean "Lilac Wine" Buckley had a pair o' doubles. Steve Selsky and Juan Perez also had 2 hits in the rout. Up next: Stalin Gerson (3-4, 4.18) takes his cult of personality to the bump against Great Lakes at 7:05.
