Look, I love Scott Rolen. I love what he meant to the team in '10. I love his impact in the clubhouse. What I don't love is that he came back to play this year when he should have retired.
He was a liability last year (when not on the DL) and he's worse this year.

That's all you need to know. It might get a little better, but it won't get much better. It won't be league average. It probably won't be replacement player.
Scotty, it's time to hang 'em up. You got a big ol' pride sandwich in front of you and you need to choke it down. You're hurting the team by being in the lineup, and you are, at best, average in the field. Don't make Dusty make the decision for you. He'll wait too long and this potential playoff team can't afford that.
